Rick Perry is getting the Palin treatment (read the comments), which means he is feared. Query: Why do progressives value intelligence more than moral character? Their most common criticism of conservatives is that they are dumb. Ronald Reagan was dumb. Dan Quayle was dumb. Clarence Thomas was dumb. George W. Bush was dumb. Sarah Palin is dumb. Rick Perry is dumb. If I had to choose between (1) a dumb but morally good president and (2) a smart but morally bad president, I'd choose (1) in a heartbeat. Fortunately, we don't have to make this choice. All of the conservatives listed are above average in intelligence. Indeed, I would wager that they're more intelligent than 90% of the people who call them dumb.
