Jose Canseco begged his manager (Kevin Kennedy) to be allowed to pitch. When he did, he injured himself. Mariano Rivera begged his manager (Joe Girardi) to be allowed to play center field. When he did, he injured himself. (This is proof that managers have shit for brains.) Rivera has thrown his last Major League pitch. Mark my words. He pushes off on his right leg, and that's the one he injured. By the time he regains confidence in the leg, he will be too old to pitch.
