Here is law professor John Yoo's latest column. Yoo, you may recall, was hounded by progressives (including, disgracefully, progressive law professors), whose aim was to discourage dissent from progressive orthodoxy. Progressives think they own academia. When someone walks off the plantation, he or she is vilified, with the aim not only of silencing him or her but of deterring others in academia from dissenting. Yoo, to his everlasting credit, was not intimidated. If anything, the cowardly attacks fortified him and gave him a larger audience than he might otherwise have had.
