Those who don't follow cycling will not understand this. Chris Froome lies second overall, a couple of minutes behind his teammate, Bradley Wiggins. Froome could probably beat Wiggins. But his job is to help Wiggins win, and that's exactly what he will do. Cycling is a team sport.
Addendum: Tacks were thrown on the course today. The leaders of the peloton slowed the pace until everyone who flatted or crashed caught up. Cycling has a code of honor, which is one of many reasons I love it.
