I bought my first bicycle (a Sears Free Spirit) 31 years ago today, when I was 24 years old. As of today, I've pedaled 70,544.4 miles. That's an average of 2,275.6 miles per year, 43.6 miles per week, and 6.2 miles per day. The distance around the earth at the equator is 24,901.55 miles, so I've ridden the equivalent of 2.83 times around the earth. I can't imagine not riding, and I don't know how others can live their lives without riding. It's as addictive as heroin, and, if not done properly, just about as dangerous.
